Monday night Chez Shelley Beach is known as 'family night' and each week one of us will take a turn at cooking a lovely meal for everyone and then we all sit round and do our weekly Bible Reading... these evenings generally descend into much hilarity and a good chance to catch up on the gossip. Last Monday though was an extra special family night, so we decided to widen the net slightly and allow the appendages that half the house have to come along too as we put on our glad rags and celebrated the end of the service year...
With bubbles to start at the house, cocktails at Ponsonby Social Club, a lovely meal at Prego (although the food took an age to arrive) and a fantastic cake with port back at the house (although they couldn't fit 840 candles on it!!) it was a fantastic way to round off the last 6 months... lets hope the next 6 are just as good!
